AMIC will use the software and equipment to set, balance, heat shrink, and monitor cutting tools offline, improving setup efficiency and machining performance. It will support training in state-of-the-art presetting and tool management practices, while enabling digital integration and data-driven workflows to enhance control, consistency, and advanced manufacturing capability. The equipment will be located at the AMIC Factory of the Future, Global Point Newtownabbey, a facility for collaborative research projects with industry partners, therefore the Tool Pre-Setting Area will have lower usage rates than it would in a manufacturing environment.
