Maintenance of Mosaiq Oncology Management System
Notice Description
Swansea Bay University Health Board is renewing the maintenance contract for the Mosaiq Oncology Management System, which has been in place since 01st August 2014. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Elekta, and the Mosaiq system is an industry leading Oncology Information System and Electronic Health Record designed for both radiation and medical oncology. The maintenance contract has been awarded via the NHS Supply Chain framework reference 2021/S000-021535.

Swansea Bay University Health Board is renewing the maintenance contract for the Mosaiq Oncology Management System, which has been in place since 01st August 2014. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Elekta, and the Mosaiq system is an industry leading Oncology Information System and Electronic Health Record designed for both radiation and medical oncology. The maintenance contract has been awarded via the NHS Supply Chain framework reference 2021/S000-021535. The contract is for a 12 month period, utilising the Gold Care Package. Procuring through the NHS Supply Chain framework, reference 2021/S000-021535, for Maintenance, Repair and Calibration of Medical Equipment, ensures value for money is achieved, as all pricing has undergone prior market testing and benchmarking against other qualified suppliers. This gives assurance that the rates are competitive, transparent and aligned with public-sector procurement requirements. A lack of comprehensive maintenance cover poses a significant risk to clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Continuation of a valid maintenance contract is critical to maintaining reliable equipment performance and uninterrupted service provision. Therefore, the award of this contract is essential.

Currently, Elekta is the only supplier in the market who can provide the level of service required. Therefore, it is critical that the contract be awarded to Elekta, through the NHS Supply Chain Framework reference 2021/S000-021535 for the Maintenance, Repair and Calibration of Medical Equipment.
