Summary of the contracting process

The public procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with Curo Places Limited as the buying organisation. The initiative titled "Cyclical Decoration and Maintenance Repairs" falls under the category of works within the construction and maintenance industry sectors. Curo, a major landlord in the South-West of the UK, is inviting suppliers for Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) to refine their approach for a long-term programme involving maintenance and repair services for various property types. The organisation is based in Bath, and their upcoming 'meet the buyer' event is scheduled to take place at their head office on 10th August 2026. This engagement is crucial for understanding potential supplier capabilities and alignment with Curo's strategic goals for properties across Bath and North-East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, and Wiltshire. Businesses interested in these opportunities must contact Stewart Gayden to attend, and can anticipate a contract period potentially extending to 2037 if renewed.

This procurement offers a significant opportunity for businesses involved in building completion and maintenance services, particularly those capable of handling diverse property requirements from modern residential homes to Listed Buildings. The value of the contract suggests substantial business growth potential for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), due to the programme's five-year agreement, with an option for an extension, potentially impacting a sizable number of homes managed by Curo. This tender will be particularly beneficial for companies that can deliver innovative solutions for public works, align with social value outcomes, and provide cost-effective maintenance services while ensuring compliance with legal and environmental standards. By engaging in the planning phase and attending the event, businesses can influence the tender specifications to better align with their service offerings, paving the way for advantageous partnerships.
