Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the "Energy Loans and Grants Administration" project. This initiative is classified under the industry category of energy-efficiency consultancy services and involves the financial administration and management of several heat and energy efficiency loans and grant schemes. With a significant contract value of £66,000,000, the project is scheduled to commence in April 2028 and will be based in the UK, specifically in the region of UKM. Key roles include administering loan and grant payments, managing debt recovery, and liaising with partners to ensure an effective customer journey. The purchasing entity, the Scottish Government, is located in Glasgow and functions as both the buyer and a central purchasing body.

The forthcoming tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the financial transaction processing, loan brokerage, and collection agency services sectors. Companies experienced in large-scale financial administration will find this tender particularly suited to their expertise. Businesses capable of effectively managing complex financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements could experience growth by securing this contract. Interested parties must have their Financial Conduct Authority registration confirmed by the contract award stage, and a Request for Information is currently available to potential bidders. This initiative is not only a promising opportunity for business expansion but it also contributes significantly to the advancement of energy efficiency solutions in the UK.
