Summary of the contracting process

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board is procuring the Cheshire and Merseyside WorkWell Service, a health, wellbeing and employment support service for people with health conditions or disabilities. The requirement suits SMEs, voluntary, community and social enterprises, and established health, employment or wellbeing providers. Suppliers need relevant experience in social prescribing, employability, health or wellbeing support, with the ability to work effectively alongside health services, primary care, local authorities, employers, employment programmes and VCFSE or community organisations. Delivery must be accessible and culturally appropriate. Organisations must demonstrate sufficient management, governance, operational and delivery capability for their chosen locality or localities, together with the required legal and financial capacity. The ICB may check financial standing, insurance and other due-diligence information before award. Providers should also be able to manage mobilisation, workforce recruitment and retention, variable demand, information governance and outcome monitoring.
