Notice Title
DLO Support Framework
Notice Description
Bron Afon Community Housing is exploring the establishment of a subcontractor framework to support the delivery of repairs, maintenance, planned investment and construction-related works across its housing stock and assets. The framework will provide additional resource and capacity to support Bron Afon's Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and ensure the organisation can continue to deliver high-quality services to residents. The framework is expected to include lots for responsive repairs, highway works, doors & windows, drainage & groundworks and whole house refurbishments with work awarded on an as-required basis throughout the framework term. In addition to the proposed framework opportunity, Bron Afon is also planning a programme of future procurement opportunities over the next 18 months, including gas, heating and plumbing works, heating installations, cleaning services, external garden works and flooring. Suppliers attending the Meet the Buyer event will have the opportunity to learn more about these forthcoming opportunities and the anticipated procurement pipeline. Bron Afon is particularly interested in engaging with local SMEs and suppliers capable of delivering responsive, planned and specialist works across South Wales.
Planning Information
Bron Afon Community Housing, in partnership with Barcud Shared Services, is undertaking preliminary market engagement in advance of publishing a DLO Support framework procurement opportunity and will be hosting a Meet the Buyer event to discuss the framework opportunity, future procurement plans and upcoming opportunities for suppliers.. The event will provide an overview of the forthcoming framework opportunity, Bron Afon's wider procurement pipeline for the next 18 months, the proposed procurement timetable and future opportunities across a range of repairs, maintenance and specialist services. Interested suppliers are invited to attend a free Meet the Buyer event on 6 October 2026 at Ty Bron Afon, Cwmbran. There will be 2 sessions: 8:30-10:30 13:00-15:00 Suppliers wishing to attend should register their interest by emailing procurement@barcudsharedservices.org.uk. Suppliers will have the opportunity to meet representatives from Bron Afon and Barcud Shared Services, ask questions regarding the forthcoming procurement and gain a better understanding of how the framework will operate. Following the Meet the Buyer sessions, Barcud Shared Services will deliver a free tendering workshop aimed at SMEs, providing practical guidance on preparing and submitting tender responses. Suppliers are also encouraged to provide feedback on the proposed framework structure, procurement approach and any potential barriers to participation for SMEs, during the event or by emailing procurement@barcudsharedservices.org.uk. Any feedback received may be considered prior to the publication of the procurement opportunity. Participation in this market engagement exercise will not provide any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement process.
