Notice Title

Development of e-learning modules to support recovery from COVID

Notice Description

The Pain and Fatigue Management Service currently delivers support for individuals with chronic pain and chronic fatigue, as well as those experiencing the effects of Long COVID (also known as Post-COVID Syndrome). This support will involve individuals taking part in two series of online workshops, led by a clinician from the Service. The initial "Invest in Your Health" programme is delivered as six group workshops, held as two-hour sessions for six weeks. The follow-up "Living Well with Pain and Fatigue" programme is delivered as a series of eight one-hour workshops over eight weeks. Each workshop is based around a PowerPoint presentation and a comprehensive set of speaker notes, and includes a number of opportunities for participants to interact with the presenter and other members of their group. As part of their response to COVID, the service is looking to increase the flexibility of the support provided, and explore alternative ways to deliver the content of its programmes. We are currently seeking suitably experienced e-learning providers to work with our team of psychologists to develop web-based e-learning packages to support our programmes. We anticipate that each of the current sessions would be the equivalent of approximately three or four e-learning packages. As part of NHS Wales, content developed for this project will need to be presented in both English and Welsh - we can provide help with the translation of content.e-Learning packages will need to be compliant with the xAPI standard (sometimes referred to as the "Tin Can" API) to allow content to be hosted on a range of e-learning platforms. Content will also need to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards as a minimum to ensure that it is accessible to the widest possible audience.A more detailed specification for the packages to be produced during this project is included at the end of this section. This specification may also be referred to as the "technical envelope" for this RFQ process.
