Notice Description
The ISS department of Swansea University is preparing for significant investment in systems over the next 3 to 5 years that will establish a modern digital experience matched to the current and future needs of education, research, innovation and partnership at Swansea.The intended investment will result in broad based modernisation of the technology footprint and associated service provided to end users. Success will be that:1. End users experience a recognisably best in class service in line with that of top quartile HEI institutions in the UK and internationally2. Strategically, digital services enhance and amplify Swansea University ability to excel in the education, research and innovation that the institution providesA refreshed Digital Strategy will be prepared to articulate how investment in digital and online services will be directed over the next 3 to 5 years. Some general principles of the refreshed strategy are already clear (e.g., buy in preference to build, platform-based architecture), however the strategy requires input from the Swansea University community, and there is an urgent need to elicit this input.Swansea ISS department require the successful supplier to work with them over a 4-month period to engage students, staff and partners to:1. Understand the education and student experience needs from technology, digital and online services2. Understand the research and innovation needs from technology, digital and online services3. Understand the enterprise and partnership needs from technology, digital and online services4. Incorporate this understanding into a draft Digital StrategyNOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
