Notice Description

The Vale of Glamorgan Council wishes to purchase Public Right of Way (PRoW) and field furniture for use on a grant-funded bridleway project around South-Central Wales. The project will run until May 2023 and in that time, the project intends to improve access for horses and cycles on rights of way through the countryside. This means the replacement of existing furniture across over 200km of PRoW.To improve off-road access, the project wishes to purchase gates, posts, associated fittings, handle kits and fencing materials, detailed in full in section 6.1NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=122109.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility. A user guide is available at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/sitehelp/help_guides.aspx.Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems. The Vale of Glamorgan Council has declared a Climate and Nature emergency and is committed to working with suppliers that contribute to our journey towards Net Zero Carbon.(WA Ref:122109)Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority's economic and social objectives.
