Notice Title

Procurement of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy System

Notice Description

Aberystwyth University wishes to procure FTIR which will be used to do surface analysis of various types of samples such as semiconductors, particulates, etc. There is also a requirement to have the capability to conduct these measurements under low vacuum conditions in the present of controlled gases to analyser any changes in chemical species. This means the addition of an additional detector and internal optics into an already existing vacuum chamber. This would allow further evolution of the equipment currently being used to enable complete surface analysis both on a work bench and in vacuum, allowing for analysis of changes in surface chemistry due to thermal annealing with or without gas, x-ray exposure, acid etching etc to be conducted.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
