Notice Description

Big Pit is our National Coal Museum situated in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Blaenavon in East Wales. Audio Visual interpretation is used throughout the site with a special walk-through multimedia show called 'King Coal' being one of the Museum's most popular exhibitions.The system was originally installed in 2003 and has undergone various upgrades over the years to maintain its operation. However, in 2023 the 'King Coal' and 'Pit Head Baths' exhibitions require further remedial upgrades to facilitate new lighting control, multi-lingual functionality, and general longevity.To help us achieve this audio-visual upgrade project we will be looking to procure the services of a specialist audio-visual contractor to take this scope of work, develop the design and specification and deliver the installation of the new audio-visual systems.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
