Notice Description
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) sits alongside Health Boards and Trusts and is the only Special Health Authority within NHS Wales. HEIW have a leading role in the education, training, development, and shaping of the healthcare workforce, supporting high-quality care for the people of Wales.Research by the Culture, Leadership and Succession team within HEIW has identified that the Hogan psychometric testing products are an appropriate tool to support their ongoing programme of leadership development. The tool has some unique features in comparison to other personality profiling tools and the team have piloted its use for the Advanced Clinical Leadership Programme cohort 1.The tool was well received by senior clinicians on the programme and indications are that behaviour change has resulted from its use. Due to the success and excellent feedback received from delegates of the Advanced Clinical Leadership Programme, the introduction of a Hogan workshop was instigated to support the Executive Medical Directors Development Programme.Again, Hogan was found to be the most appropriate tool to support their ongoing leadership journey and it was felt that providing a consistent approach across these two programmes would benefit the wider Health Board.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
