Cardiff City and South Cluster encompasses 6 GP practices, with a combined registered population of circa 41,000. Through use of Welsh Government Funding, this cluster is seeking to establish a social prescribing project focused on the use of gardening to improve the health and wellbeing of patients in their local area. Through use of a social prescribing approach, the practices feel that their patients will experience the following benefits:* Social interaction - reducing the impact of social isolation.* Sense of purpose - improving levels of self-resilience, confidence and independence* Exercise - improving general levels of mental and physical health.In terms of benefits to the GP Practices, it is believed that access to this scheme could provide a more appropriate intervention for patients who do not require clinical intervention via GP Practice.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders. The contracting authority reserves the right to award the Contract in whole or in part. The contracting authority reserves the right to pause, halt and/or annul the tendering process and not to award the Contract.The Contract to which this procurement relates are funded via Welsh Government funding.         "eligibilityCriteria": "The provider will be required to:* Work with the cluster to design, project manage the set-up and co-ordinate the ongoing day-to-day site management of the schemes within the identified areas. * To recruit and manage any staff that are needed within the project (ie all employer liabilities will sit with the provider), this includes coverage of any staffing gaps outside of usual annual leave allowances.* Bidders are expected to identify and cost the equipment required to provide the project. Once purchased, the Provider will need to ensure safe storage of the equipment and confirm return of equipment to the UHB should the project be discontinued. * To work with the cluster to confirm the deliverable and outcomes for the project and produce reports on a frequency specified by the Cluster. * To attend regular contract monitoring meetings as requested* Ensure that access to gardening should be as inclusive as possible. The cluster is keen to attract patients from a wide breadth of ethnic groups as well as users of different abilities.",
