Notice Title

Rubrik Solution for Medical Records Project

Notice Description

Hywel Dda Health Board ("HDUHB") has awarded a contract for the provision of a Rubrik solution for medical records across the Health Board. This contract will provide backup support to the medical records application, CITO, which is an electronic document management platform and its associated data. The CITO infrastructure is hosted within HDUHBs Azure cloud environment. The requirement is for the application utilised by the Health Board onsite to backup all clinical and administrative application servers and associated data. The solution needs to be in place promptly to ensure that the move into the CITO cloud environment is not threatened with loss of patient records as sufficient protection will be in place.Additionally, HDUHB need to bring this solution into effect as it provides a layer of cyber security protection to assist with reacting to malware attacks which are malicious attacks designed to cause damage to a computer and its network without a user's knowledge. The software also provides a route for the Health Board to recover from such incidents within days rather than months. This contract extends the current onsite backup Rubrik solution to the cloud environment which the data centre team are already familiar with and confident in its operation functions to support the critical digital infrastructure. The Health Trust Europe ("HTE") ICT Solutions Three framework agreement (HTE-01523.2) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation. This framework includes several potential providers who have achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process and procurement approached the three suppliers with links to the Welsh economy.
