Notice Title

Development of ARFer App

Notice Description

The aim of ARFer is to support staff members to use more Welsh at work. The ARFer methodology is underpinned by the behavioural sciences and is primarily based on asking individuals within teams of staff to commit to use Welsh as the default language within certain contexts and with certain colleagues. The methodology and principles behind ARFer have been developed internally within Canolfan Bedwyr. The team has a clear understanding of these approaches and a view on how to use these within an app. This will be the first time that Canolfan Bedwyr will have commissioned an external supplier to build an app. Therefore, a collaborative partnership approach between the team of language policy and behavioural science specialists in Canolfan Bedwyr and the developer is needed in order to agree on elements such as functionality, prioritisation, and complexity. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) would consist of an app which delivers an automated version of the functionality currently on offer in the manual pilot, alongside some gamification elements.
