Notice Description

The Council requires to procure ground investigation works on an ad-hoc basis to provide information in relation to geotechnical and geoenvironmental matters for projects including but not limited to roads and associated infrastructure, development sites, slope stability, structures, mineral stability (including mine entries) and groundwater. . The successful tenderers will be required to offer an on call service to provide the necessary works for North Lanarkshire Council. The scope of the works comprises the sinking of boreholes, rotary drillings, inspection pits, trial pits and trenches, in situ tests, the taking of samples and cores, carrying out laboratory tests, preparation and submission of records and reports; all as described or implied in the ITT. The reports may include factual and interpretative elements and desk studies related to the geotechnical and geoenvironmental aspects of ground investigations. Collateral warranties may be required for ground investigation reports.

In order to fulfil this requirement the Council intends to establish a Framework Agreement. The Council intends to appoint 6 Contractors to the Framework Agreement. The successful tenderers will be required to offer an on call service to provide the necessary works for North Lanarkshire Council. The scope of the works comprises the sinking of boreholes, rotary drillings, inspection pits, trial pits and trenches, in situ tests, the taking of samples and cores, carrying out laboratory tests, preparation and submission of records and reports; all as described or implied in the ITT.
