Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the NHSScotland Construction Health and Safety / CDM Advisor Framework, initiated by the Common Services Agency (NHS National Services Scotland), is currently complete. The procurement is categorised under services, with specific emphasis on health and safety consultancy related to construction projects. Located in Edinburgh, UK, the contract was officially signed on 8th January 2018, following a restricted procurement method. It aimed to provide consultancy services on a call-off basis for various health and social care projects, particularly those adhering to the NEC3 suite of contracts, and was expected to deliver community benefits as specified in the statement of requirement.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction health and safety consultancy. Companies with expertise in health and safety management, particularly those familiar with CDM 2015 Regulations, would be well-positioned to compete. Moreover, businesses that can demonstrate a strong financial standing, as required for qualification, along with relevant professional memberships, are likely to thrive in this competitive landscape. Successful suppliers will also contribute to community development initiatives, further enhancing their profile and potential for future contracts with the NHS and similar governmental entities.
