Commercial Partner - Electric Charging Vehicles for Taxi Trade in Edinburgh
Notice Description
In response to the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) call for bids for the Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) Taxi Scheme, The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a potential commercial partner to operate a network of Rapid 50kW electric vehicle chargers for the sole use of the taxi trade in Edinburgh. Overall this proposal represents an excellent opportunity for a commercial chargepoint operator to generate revenue and establish a presence in Edinburgh. The feasibility study and driver's surveys have indicated that there is a strong appetite amongst the taxi trade in Edinburgh to consider switching to ULEVs. The deadline for submission of bids to OLEV is the 22 December 2016, all OLEV, ULEV Taxi Bid documentation can be provided upon request. We would appreciate any notes of interest by Wednesday 14 December 2016 by email to kelly.faulds@edinburgh.gov.uk.
