To support its inhouse legal team, SPT intends to invite bids for the provision of legal services. It is anticipated that the contract will be for a period of 4 years with an option of up to an additional 12month. The contract start date is scheduled for July 2017. The estimated value of the contract is GBP 200,000. At the early scoping SPT believe there will be one lot. It is anticipated that the scope of services covered under the contract will include, but not be limited to the following: Employment law advice and litigation; Planning, environmental, property and real estate advice, including leases, licences, compulsory purchase Corporate, corporate finance, tax and commercial contract advice; Intellectual property and information technology advice, including copyright and patent; Information governance, including Freedom of Information, Data Protection and records management. Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is a transport authority established under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005. SPT is the Regional Transport Partnership for the west of Scotland and was formed in 2006 as part of the transport framework created by the Scottish Government, which is made up of a national transport agency, Transport Scotland, and seven Regional Transport Partnerships. The SPT area comprises of the following council areas: East Dunbartonshire, East Ayrshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, West Dunbartonshire and the Helensburgh and Lomond area of Argyll and Bute. SPT's role involves planning and delivering transport solutions for all modes of transport across the region, in conjunction with our member councils and industry partners.
