Notice Title
GP Emergency Oxygen Supply Service
Notice Description
Supply of an emergency oxygen bag to NHSS GP surgeries consisting of a cylinder and consumables along with service and support required by GP surgery staff.
Lot Information
Lot 1
1.1 National Services Scotland (NSS) is looking to procure an emergency oxygen service for GP surgeries, linked branch surgeries and other healthcare premises across Scotland. It is proposed that an emergency oxygen bag containing an emergency oxygen cylinder and accessories will be provided and supported for approximately 1000 GP practices in all parts of Scotland, this may inevitably rise as larger practices elect to hold more than one bag. The emergency oxygen is intended to be used to provide immediate support for patients who become ill whilst visiting the GP practice and for whom an ambulance has been called. NSS are seeking to appoint a single contractor who will provide a quality, safe, equitable, efficient and cost effective emergency oxygen supply and support service across Scotland. The successful contractor will be expected to work in a collaborative fashion with NSS in the identification of service development opportunities in order to respond to the changing needs of patients and to identify potential cost reduction measures to ensure the sustainability and cost effectiveness of the service in the current challenging financial climate.
Options: The volumes may increase to include GDPs (Dentists)
Renewal: 48 Months with the addition of 2 12 months extension options
