Notice Description

Govan HA wishes to appoint a contractor to carry out quarterly cyclical inspections of 10No. lifts in blocks in the Govan area of Glasgow. The commission will be awarded for a three year period. At Govan HA's discretion, the successful contractor may be offered an extension of the contract for up to a further 2 years.

We require the services of an experienced and competent Lift Maintenance Contractor to carry quarterly cyclical inspections and provide a call out service for 10No. passenger lifts and call out service. All the blocks where the lifts are located are fully residential and factored by Govan HA. The ownership within the blocks is a mixture of social renting, private renting and owner occupation. The services to be provided by the contractor include the complete maintenance of the lifts including inspections, lubrications, adjustments, repairs and replacement of parts to keep the lifts in satisfactory working order. Upon notice from Govan HA of a breakdown or failure the contractor shall attend as follows: Entrapment / Urgent call outs will be attended within 30 minutes and non emergencies will be attended within 2 hours to restore lift service to a satisfactory condition. Calls attended to out with normal working hours will be not be subject to additional charges. Annual examinations and periodic system tests will also be required. The location of the 10No. lifts are all in the Govan area of Glasgow.
