Notice Description

The work comprises the installation of slope mounted roof vent tiles to a total of 90nr Myton Clyde type 2-storey properties located in the Logan (61nr properties) and New Cumnock (29nr properties) areas of East Ayrshire. The Contractor will be required to provide safe access to all roofs to facilitate the works which shall include for the removal of 20nr existing slope mounted tiles per roof (10nr per elevation, front and rear) and their subsequent replacement with appropriate vent tiles. The existing roof tile type fitted to the properties is as detailed below: - Logan - existing tiles are Marley Wessex. New Cumnock - existing tiles are Russell Argyle. The Contractor shall be responsible for sourcing slope mounted vent tiles which are suitable in use with the above existing tile types. The selected vent tile must be suitable for use in such applications and must be capable of providing a watertight installation in all situations.

The contract is defined as a sub-threshold works contract and is therefore deemed non-regulated. The project is being procured in accordance with the principles of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and is being advertised via the single stage non-OJEU open procedure. The Contract will be let on the most economically advantageous tender basis with a quality/price assessment of tenders being made on a 40% quality 60% price split.
