Notice Description
The Fraser Centre Community Trust has secured funding through Big Lottery Fund, Scottish Regeneration Fund and other funding sources to construct a new community based cinema -The Fraser Centre, 3A Winton Place, Tranent, East Lothian, EH33 1AF. The works include the demolition of an existing cinema building, grouting of site, partial retention of stone boundary wall and new build cinema and community centre including 2no cinema halls, cafe space, flexible rooms, admin space and ancillary accommodation. This PQQ seeks to shortlist a maximum of 6 contractors through a quality assessment to provide ITT submission to carry out the works.

Lot 1
PQQ for tenderer shortlist to include on ITT for the following construction project: Demolition of existing steel framed, brick clad 1920's cinema building with partial retention and making good of stone boundary walls within recognised conservation area. Remedial works to site including grouting and piling with new build steel framed cinema building predominantly across a single storey with upper level plant room over second hall. Accommodation comprises of 730 square metres of flexible space including 2 number cinema spaces with bleacher seating and flexible use as community halls. Bookable office space, commercial cafe space and commercial kitchen, office accommodation, ancillary storage and toilet provision with upper level enclosed plantroom. Works that are required to be undertaken by the successful tenderer within the project include but are not limited to: - Demolition of existing cinema building, - Partial retention and refurbishment of existing stone boundary wall, - Grouting of site in accordance with detailed quotation, - Construction of single storey steel framed building with upper level plantroom area all in accordance with drawings and specification, - External works again in accordance with drawings and specification
