Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "XpoNorth Digital" project has been completed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), located in Inverness, UK. This initiative focused on providing digital-related support to creative industries, emphasising innovation in the relationship between producers and consumers. The procurement was conducted under an open procedure with an estimated contract value of £1,080,300, awarded on 20th August 2018. The project offers a contract term of three years, with an option to extend for an additional year, and the contract’s core activities include advice, workshops, and analytics tailored for creative businesses.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in digital solutions, consulting, and creative services, particularly those that specialise in enhancing engagement between producers and consumers through innovative approaches. Companies that can deliver comprehensive research and development support, as well as those capable of implementing effective digital strategies, would be well-positioned to compete. The emphasis on tailored support and the potential for collaborative efforts suggests that SME consortia could successfully engage with HIE’s requirements, ultimately enabling them to enhance profitability and expand their market profiles.
