Remedial Works to Fairfield House Roof
Notice Description
Midlothian Council requires the complete repair of an inverted flat roof due to water leaking into a computer server room. The proposed system is a cold applied polimar coating to an existing single ply membrane with mechanically fixed isolation boards, but also taking in all upstands, drainage and capping's to ensure water tightness. The existing stones of the inverted roof will have to be removed in stages to minimise point loading. Once the existing insulation is removed and the coating system applied then the existing inverted roof finishes can be reinstated.

The existing stones of the inverted roof will have to be removed in stages to minimise point loading. Once the existing insulation is removed and the coating system applied then the existing inverted roof finishes can be reinstated. The location is sensitive with a primary school next door and access to a public car park in front of the roof. Due to the ongoing issues Midlothian Council require a quick start date for the work to proceed. It is looking for a minimum of 20 years insurance back guarantee.
