Summary of the contracting process

The Wheatley Housing Group Limited, a prominent public body located in Glasgow, UK, has completed the procurement process for a "Legal & Associated Services Framework". This procurement falls under the services industry category and was initiated through an open tender procedure. The framework is structured into six distinct lots, with a total duration of 36 months and the possibility of a 12-month extension. Key dates include the initial submission deadline on 1st August 2018, closely followed by the award period commencing later the same day.

This framework presents significant growth opportunities for legal service providers, particularly those specialising in commercial contracts, governance, employment law, financing, sheriff officer services, and property reporting. Businesses of varying scales, including large firms and SMEs, should consider this tender, especially those with experience in the public sector and the requisite accreditations, as mandated by the Wheatley Group. Engaging with this framework may also require demonstrating capacity to meet community benefit obligations linked to financial thresholds, enhancing both local impact and business reputation.
