Notice Description

The University tendered to replace the existing Agilent 7T preclinical MRI system, as it is necessary to maintain and enhance our research programmes. The tender was published as one package but is split into two clear requirements, as each will have their own delivery schedules; Phase 1 - workstations, software, amplifiers. Phase 2 - 9.4T magnet, gradient sets, animal positioning system, RF coils. Possible replacement of gradient amplifiers and water chiller. THIS NOTICE IS FOR PHASE 1 EQUIPMENT ONLY

The mini-tender was instigated during November 2017 and the below suppliers were invited to tender in accordance with Lot 2 of the NWUPC framework agreement Lab3052 NW - HVLE, Magnetic Resonance Equipment (MRI), on a competitive basis. a. Bruker b. GE Medical c. Philips d. Siemens Only Bruker UK Ltd responded with an offer to the mini-tender. The End User and Procurement teams confirmed that the Bruker offer met all minimum and technical standards, therefore, their offer was accepted. The mini tender included both phase 1 and phase 2 to ensure a complete and compatible package was available from a single supplier.

Options: Phase 2 equipment - 9.4T magnet, gradient sets, animal positioning system, RF coils. Possible replacement of gradient amplifiers and water chiller.
