Summary of the contracting process

The Forestry Commission is seeking to establish a "Soil Surveys Framework" for the ongoing provision of soil surveys across Scotland. This procurement process is currently in the Award stage, having been signed on 23rd July 2018. The total budget for the framework is £750,000, with individual lot values totaling £480,000. The tender was originally planned to conclude by 4th June 2018, and the primary industry category is environmental protection. The procurement method used for this framework is an open procedure, inviting a wide range of participants.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in environmental services, geospatial analysis, and land surveying. Companies that offer soil analysis, mapping services or have experience in conducting environmental assessments would be well-suited to compete for the various lots available within this framework. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate their expertise through a mandatory skills test, thus ensuring that only qualified teams engage in this critical work for the Forestry Commission.
