Summary of the contracting process

The University of Strathclyde is seeking suppliers for its Minor Maintenance Framework (MMF) aimed at supporting ongoing and reactive maintenance across its campus in Glasgow, UK. This procurement process, currently in the award stage, has a total estimated value of £6,840,000 and involves various lots, with values typically ranging from £25,000 to £100,000. The framework has been established as part of the University’s strategic plan to enhance its facilities, and it is classified under the works category, with an open procurement method allowing broad participation.

This tender presents excellent opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger construction firms that specialise in minor maintenance works. Businesses involved in glazing, locksmithing, signage, window servicing, and landscaping would find ample chances to participate and grow. Given the variety of lots and the expected project values, firms with experience in handling small-scale works and a commitment to quality will be particularly well-positioned to compete effectively for contracts under this framework.
