The Authority wishes to commission an appropriately qualified and experienced consultant to support it in: - Understanding the opportunity and the impact of high speed cross border rail connections for North Lanarkshire, its residents and businesses; - Informing the developing vision for North Lanarkshire and how rail contributes to this; - Understanding how we can and should respond to create the conditions to secure, and maximise, the benefits; and in - Building a robust and compelling case for a cross-border station at Eurocentral to present to and lobby the Scottish and UK governments and transport authorities.
