10521C HMP Dumfries and HMP Greenock - Intercom System, and associated infrastructure replacement
Notice Description
The existing video and intercom systems at HMP Dumfries and HMP Greenock have been installed over a number of phases. The system is old technology, and is now obsolete. The system is operated from various locations and is to identify people before they are allowed to pass through an electrically locked door. The objective of this project is to replace the existing intercom system across both sites with a new Internet Protocol (IP) Video intercom solution, all points shall be video intercoms. The Contractor shall also install additional Video Intercom units. The Contractor shall integrate the new video intercom system with the existing SCADA locking system. All equipment and wiring are to be replaced, and shall use existing back boxes. Where possible the Contractor shall use the existing containment. SPS require a system that has a proven track record in a similar environment as the prisons. The new system shall only employ proven software and routines.
