Notice Description

The existing air conditioning units in the archive rooms of The Orkney Library and Archive are beyond their expected lifetime and are failing. New indoor supply units and outdoor condenser units are to be installed as direct replacements in the four archive rooms.

The procurement will take the form of an initial notice where prospective contractors can express interest in the works and submit PQQ information. Should they be successful at this stage they will be invited to tender for the works shortly after this. It is anticipated that contractors will complete and submit the tender documents within 4 weeks and the tender assessment and award process should take no longer than 2 weeks. The works will then be programmed with the stakeholders including the building users, Orkney Islands Council and the successful contractor.
