Notice Description
SG wish to commission Phase 2 of Scottish Study of Early Learning and Childcare (SSELC) to inform our understanding of the impact of the ELC expansion programme on child and parent outcomes. Phase 2 of SSELC will include additional data collection with a nationally representative group of 3, 4 and 5 year old children (and parents) who are also receiving 600 hours of funded entitlement. It will follow a similar methodology to Phase 1 which includes observations of the children undertaken by the child's key worker and self-completion questionnaires with parents. It is anticipated that fieldwork for Phase 2 will commence in June 2019. All fieldwork must be complete and final reports submitted to Scottish Government by end of April 2020.
