Notice Description
The ability to isolate cells with the ability to then analyse them: the Analysis system uses an inverted fluorescence microscope that works with self-seeding microwell chips, where the cells are floated over an array and then fill individual wells.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Up until recently there has been no automated technology available to sort cells based on their morphological features, which can then be isolated for subsequent molecular analysis. In the past, experiments in the Human Genetics Unit to isolate single cells for RNAseq procedures have been conducted by laborious laser capture microdissection, which take days to produce only a very few viable cells, with a then limited ability to further analyse such cells; which is neither cost or time effective. New technology now available combines the ability to isolate cells with the ability to then analyse them: the VyCAP Puncher system uses an inverted fluorescence microscope that works with self-seeding microwell chips, where the cells are floated over an array and then fill individual wells
