Lot Information

Lot 1

This contract is one element of a wider project to maximise the promotional potential of orkney.com, the destination website for Orkney. Other elements of the contract involve social media and content creation to promote orkney.com online. The wider contract work will help promote the latest iteration of orkney.com to the benefit of Orkney's key sectors - tourism, food & drink, creative industries and energy - while also encouraging people to move to Orkney to live, work or study. The Digital Media Orkney project has produced a wide range of quality images of Orkney which will be available for the successful bidder to make use of. Orkney also has a strong brand identity which is used across its sectors and on orkney.com and the promotional activity should make use of this. Orkney Islands Council and Highlands & Islands Enterprise have historically jointly funded the Orkney Marketing programme which has helped to develop many projects in support of Orkney's key sectors. Orkney's four industry groups (Orkney Food & Drink, Orkney Craft Association t/a Creative Orkney, Destination Orkney and Orkney Renewable Energy Forum) also support the project.
