Notice Title
Intensive Family Support Service
Notice Description
The Intensive Family Support Service will target pockets of persistent, entrenched worklessness and poverty that are evident throughout the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal area. Phase one of this project will focus on specific areas in Fife, while phase two will develop the programme in the rest of the City Region. This PIN concerns Phase One of the programme. The service will implement a holistic 'whole family' approach, tackling intergenerational disadvantage that will co-ordinate any existing support structures to create a more joined-up and cohesive package that is effective for all members of the family. It is likely that interventions will include family support, money and benefits advice, youth work and employability support tailored to support families progress, improving family dynamic and reducing poverty. The service will focus on early stages of the Strategic Skills Pipeline, supporting families to consider the pathway to work and education.
