Summary of the contracting process

Glasgow Science Centre is seeking tenders for the "Idea No59 Exhibition, Interactive Exhibits," aimed at developing hands-on, interactive exhibits for their visitors. The procurement process is currently in the Award stage, with the contracts having been signed on 12 July 2019. The project falls under the goods category, targeting companies that provide exhibit fabrication and software development services. The tender is based in Glasgow (G51 1EA) and utilises an open procurement method. The original tender submission period ended on 3 July 2019 with a bid opening at the same time.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for both small and large businesses, particularly those specialising in electromechanical and IT-based interactive exhibits. Suppliers with expertise in creating engaging visitor attractions or educational tools would find this a suitable match for their capabilities. Additionally, companies prepared for a collaborative approach, with the potential for a second phase of the project, will be well positioned to succeed in this competitive procurement environment. The flexibility of the project, including options for contract extension, further enhances the opportunity for sustained partnerships.
