Summary of the contracting process

The Common Services Agency, commonly known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), is planning to procure a Remote Health Monitoring & Communications System, aimed at enhancing home and mobile health monitoring care pathways. Notice Description

NSS wishes to procure a multi-channel remote health monitoring and communication solution capable of supporting the delivery of home and mobile health monitoring enhanced care pathways. An "off the shelf" solution is sought; however solutions that need further development to meet requirements may also be of interest. For background information and context see: A National Model for Home and Mobile Health Monitoring https://sctt.org.uk/programmes/home-and-mobile-monitoring/national-service-model-home-mobile-health-monitoring/ This notice is to: - Assess the potential quality and safety of appropriate solutions currently available in the market. - Assess market readiness of remote health monitoring solutions in relation to new obligations arising from REGULATION (EU) 2017/745 (Medical Device Regulations) coming into force in May 2020 and in the context of stand alone software as a medical device (SaMD).

It is the intention of NSS to enter into a contract pursuant to which a multi-channel remote health monitoring and communication solution is delivered as a managed service. The contract will deliver services to entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 as amended, Integration Joint Boards established pursuant to the Public Bodies (Joint Working)(Scotland) Act 2014 and any local authorities established pursuant to the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994..
