Notice Title
Spinning Disc Microscope (CCBS, Chancellors)
Notice Description
The University of Edinburgh is looking to procure a Spinning Disc Confocal Microscope System to be housed on the ground floor of the Chancellor's Building. The main purpose of this system is for high through-put 3D high resolution imaging of large, fixed specimens and for high-speed 4D imaging of live specimens. The system will be available to a number of researchers and groups, and as such should be ready-to-use and easy to set up prior to imaging. We aim to apply the spinning disc confocal microscope for rapid, high-resolution imaging of synapses (average size 0.2-0.5 um), known to be altered in neurodevelopmental disorders. Our primary goal is systematically imaging synaptic proteins across the entire rodent brain, with ideal laterally and axially high resolution at subcellular level (via high magnification/high NA lens combined with potential post-objective magnification).
Lot Information
Lot 1
EU Open Tender
Options: 1. The initial order will be amended to add on a camera specification (TBC). This will be at most 53,240.00 GBP. 2. This addition will not be any more than 40,000.00 GBP TOTAL VALUE OF POTENTIAL OPTIONS: 93,240.00 GBP Thus taking potential total contract value with supplier to 336,996.09 GBP
