Notice Description

The School of Informatics at Edinburgh University is a world leading centre of research and teaching in computation, information and cognition. The purpose of this procurement exercise is to achieve the most economic and advantageous tender in the supply and installation of GPU nodes for a Deep learning research and teaching cluster. The University is seeking to create a cluster with a number of GPU nodes based around the nVidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti (11GB) GPU card that will be running a derivative of Redhat Enterprise Server V7. The solution must fit within an existing standard 800x600 rack where there is a total of 40U space. Whatever solution is used due consideration should be paid to cooling constraints and the most appropriate card format/manufacturer.

It includes tier one manufacturers and resellers. T&C's agreed. CCS framework RM3733: lot 1 technology hardware. - Simplified contracting process whilst still allowing large number of relevant suppliers to bid. - T&C's agreed. - Reduced timescales - meet the required timeline. - School of Informatics has used this framework before, achieved value for money for similar procurement.
