Stone, Sea and Sky celebrates the architecture of Scotland's Islands, and will be the closing event for Scottish Civic Trust's celebration of Doors Open Days turning thirty. It brings together architects and artists to work on a single project promoting civic identity across the islands. The project will take the form of a series of engagement and development workshops focusing on place and the built environment across the Outer Hebrides and Argyll and the Islands. The project will culminate in a final event at the end of September 2019. This public free event will be held in two places - one in Argyll and the Islands, and one in the Outer Hebrides. This is a partnership project lead by Scottish Civic Trust, in collaboration with the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland (RIAS), and working in partnership with Island creative hubs at An Lanntair and Taigh Chearsabhagh
