Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the Landscape Maintenance Contract 2020-2023 is conducted by Linthouse Housing Association, a public body located in Glasgow, UK. The contract, which is now complete, involved ground maintenance of communal areas, including landscaping and garden works, across various sites within the Linthouse, Langlands, and Drumoyne areas. The tender utilised a selective procurement method and was executed under a restricted procedure. The contract was awarded on 24th February 2020 and has an estimated value of £450,000. The association expected community benefits to be delivered as part of this tender, with provision for ad hoc repair work included throughout the contract duration.

This tender presents significant opportunities for landscape maintenance and gardening businesses aiming to establish or expand their operations within the public sector. Companies that specialise in ground maintenance, landscaping, and community amenities would find this a particularly advantageous environment for competition. Small and medium-sized enterprises with relevant expertise and experience, as well as those located near the Glasgow area, should consider submitting bids for future contracts, as the Linthouse Housing Association has indicated potential for contract extensions and additional projects based on performance.
