Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government has conducted a public procurement tender titled "Mobile Voice & Data Services," aimed at establishing a national framework agreement for the provision of mobile communication services. This procurement, classified under general public services, falls under the services category and is located in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, with bids submitted electronically. The tender period concluded on 18 December 2019, with a contract value of £10 million set for a maximum duration of 36 months, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the telecommunications and information technology sectors, particularly those specialising in mobile voice and data services, including mobile device management and account management solutions. Businesses with capabilities to deliver high-quality, compliant services while maintaining standards such as ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for information security are well-suited to compete. Additionally, companies with a track record of community engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives may find advantageous positions in the procurement evaluation process, as community benefits are a component of the overall procurement strategy.
