Notice Description
A framework to support the Forth Valley and West Lothian Regional Improvement Collaborative and the Pupil Equity Funding Initiative to assist improved outcomes for West Lothian Schools.
Lot Information
Vocational Training
Services related to vocational training courses and qualifications including but not necessarily limited to hair dressing, beauty, customer care and car repair.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Staff Training CoursesTraining provision for staff in areas including but not necessarily limited to motivational workshops, team building, management and leadership.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Numeracy InterventionsServices that provide evidence-based numeracy interventions that could be used to close the poverty related attainment gap. These may include but will not be limited to numeracy programmes, numeracy resources, online resources and staff training.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Literacy InterventionsServices that provide evidence-based literacy interventions that could be used to close the poverty related attainment gap. These may include but will not necesarily be limited to literacy programmes, online resources and staff training.

Pupil WorkshopsProvision of services which engage pupils on a particular subject, activity or project through discussion, performance or participation in class(es) dedicated to the project or activity. This service may include but is not limited to mindfulness, yoga, confidence building, nurture, STEM, diversity and health and wellbeing.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Activity Based LearningProviding a service which engages and encourages pupils to learn through the participation in non-academic activities and experiences. These may include but are not necessarily limited to outdoor learning, residential, sports and social activities.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Counselling, Therapy, Support and Advice ServicesServices which provide professional assistance, guidance and support in resolving personal or psychological problems. These may include but are not limited to group and/or one to one work with pupils or families, counselling, mediation and services to promote good mental wellbeing. Services may also include therapy including but not limited to play and music therapy.. It is a mandatory requirement that service providers who will be providing Counselling services are required to be registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy or an equivalent Registration Body.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
Creative EngagementThose services which focus on engaging pupils and learning through creative activities. Services may include but are not solely limited to music, art, drama and dance.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.
External ExpertsExternal expert service provision whereby working alongside teaching staff, knowledge and skills will be used to enhance the curriculum. This support may be provided through teacher training, classroom observations, assistance with class lessons and working with pupils on a group or one to one basis. Experts will provide a high degree of specific professional knowledge in areas including but not limited to; resilience coaching, literacy and numeracy. However, please note that this does not incorporate literacy interventions and numeracy interventions which are covered by Lots 7 and 7 respectively.
Renewal: West Lothian Council will have the option to extend for up to two periods of 12 months. Any period of extension will be at the sole discretion of West Lothian Council.

"description": "West Lothian Council will use Dun and Bradstreet's DBAi financial reporting system to assess the financial stability of tenderers. Tenderers with a Failure Score of 35 or above on the DBAi system will be deemed to have evidenced satisfactory financial stability. Please note that 34 or less will not be considered as having met this criteria. If a tenderer has a Failure Score of less than 35, the tenderer may be required to submit their last three years accounts. In the event that the tenderer is not required to publish accounts and therefore does not have a Dun & Bradstreet or equivalent rating, tenderers should be able to provide financial accounts when requested. The council will then conduct an analysis of the accounts to ensure that there is no significant financial risk. Please note that if you intend on attaching 2 years accounts, these must include financial data over a 3 year period. It is recommended that candidates review their own Dun & Bradstreet Score in advance of submitting their tender. If following this review tenderers consider that the Dun & Bradstreet Score does not reflect their current financial status, details of this should be provided, complete with evidence of a good high street credit rating (the equivalent of Dun & Bradstreet score 35) from a recognised credit referencing agency. The council will review any such information as part of the evaluation of Tenderer's financial status. In the event that a firm does not meet the financial criteria for consideration but has a parent company that does, the firm may still be eligible for consideration where their Tender Submission is supported by a Parent Company Guarantee.
