EESSH Improvement Works
Notice Description
To Comply with The Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) Almond Housing Association proposes to undertake various works to improve the energy efficiency of our housing stock. This work will consist of; Installation of insulation to cavities, external walls, flat roofs, loft spaces and floors. Upgrading heating controls and insulating hot water cylinders. Fitting low energy lighting. Installation of solar PV systems. Exact works to each property will depend on the results of EPC surveys currently being undertaken by a third party
Lot Information
Lot 1
Upgrade work to approximately 350 properties throughout Livingston and West Lothian. Year one will run from February to 31 March 2020 and Year 2 and 3 will be awarded annually (dependant on budget and satisfactory performance in year 1). Properties will be instructed by the CA. The exact nature of the work to be completed at each property is dependent on the results of EPC surveys currently being carried out by a third party contractor. The numbers stated in these tender documents are based on historic EPC data and should be treated as indicative to the quantities and types of work to be undertaken. Installation of cavity wall insulation (aprox 51 properties) Installation of insulation to existing flat roofing (aprox 28 properties) Top up loft insulation (aprox 55 properties) Installation of insulation to flooring (aprox 189 properties) Upgrading heating controls (aprox 24 properties) Insulating hot water cylinders (aprox 9 properties) Insulating hot water systems (aprox 8 properties) Fitting of low energy light bulbs (aprox 251 properties) Installation of solar PV systems (aprox 143 properties) AHA reserve the right to add or omit properties, items of work and quantities throughout the contract period. Year 1 works are proposed to approximately 70 properties. Year 2 works are proposed to approximately 140 properties. Year 3 works are proposed to approximately 140 properties.
Renewal: The initial contract is for Year 1 works with an option to extend to Year 2 and 3, dependant on budget and performance (section 4.2) Year 1 works to be completed by the end of March 2020. Year 2 works, if awarded, must be completed by the end of March 2021. Year 3 works, if awarded, must be completed by the end of March 2022
