The Supplier Development Programme has scheduled the first ever webinar on "Talking Tenders with the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA)" on 19 May. The SPA is keen to engage with as many companies as possible throughout Scotland, particularly SMEs and supported businesses, as part of crucial development of its frameworks.

SPA has several opportunities over the next year. A current open opportunity includes the re-procurement to replace the SPA's Schools and Community Buildings Framework, which is for the provision of construction services for new build, extensions, and refurbishment of schools and community buildings. Another opportunity is the Modular Building Framework which encompassed a full turnkey solution including the design, supply, install, and commission of both permanent and temporary modular buildings. Other opportunities due to be released in the next couple of months are a Roofing Framework and a Communal Entrance Doorsets Framework. Whole House Refurbishment DPS The SPA's OJEU-compliant Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is an open market solution designed to provide buyers with access to a pool of prequalified suppliers in respect of building works, goods and services for use in public sector refurbishment and maintenance projects. The duration of this DPS is for four years with the option to extend for an additional four years, up to a maximum of eight years. There are six categories of works: Kitchens and bathrooms and associated works Landscaping Electrical works Painting and decoration Heating Services Multi-disciplinary (Installation of whole house internal and external works as defined in, but not limited to, the above categories of work). The DPS will generally apply to minor building works projects valued up to GBP 250,000 per project. For regions outside the central belt of Scotland such as the Highlands or Borders, SPA Partners can use the DPS with no upper limit restriction. Suppliers interested in bidding for a place on the DPS can seek further information on the SPA website..
