Argyll & Bute Council are looking to explore if a suitable solution exists at an affordable cost which could provide a digital visitor management system at some of its larger customer facing buildings; that would allow a range of reception functions/duties to be done electronically for visitors including but not limited to: a) Pre-registering a visit with a member of council staff so that the system knows they are expected at the building; b) Let the person they are visiting know they are in reception; c) Electronically signing visitors/contractors in/out of the building in order that a visitor roll is available e.g. in the event of a fire; d) Printing a sticky label visitor badge (can have a photo on it and essential details); e) Provide the visitor/contractor with building security and Covid related information; f) Have functionality to be able to contact a designated person or person they are visiting for assistance by phone/videolink if they are having difficulties; and g) Have the facility for a tailored menu screen customisable for specific functions such as Deliveries/Meeting Attendees/1-1 Appointments/Random Walk ins etc. h) Should be interoperable with a range of touchscreen hardware and related software e.g. Microsoft Outlook etc.
