It is the envisaged that the service will include: benefit and better off calculations, debt advice, support with applications, financial health checks, energy switching, utilities best value, mandatory reconsiderations, appeals representations etc. The services will be required for service user groups including parents in East Lothian. East Lothian Council is utilising the Scottish Government's Parental Employability Support Fund (PESF) initiative to support parents in local communities to progress through all stages of the Strategic Skills Pipeline into work and to address in-work poverty. Financial inclusion for those experiencing mental health difficulties, or for individuals experiencing barriers to support due to health inequalities may also be included.
