Notice Description
This contract award forms part of an interim service solution that safeguards the existing high standard of service at Scotland's National Contact Tracing Centre while freeing NHS colleagues to return to vital front-line services. This award will further enhance resilience, support maximum value for NHS Scotland and will enable the National Contact Tracing Centre to swiftly scale resource up or down to support Scotland's Test and Protect programme.

Lot 1
The figure stated in II.1.7 covers the initial two month contract period and the full extension period if required up to 31st March 2021. This is a directly awarded contract between the Authority on behalf of NHS Scotland to meet the additional demands of the Scottish Health and Social Care sector during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This award has been approved for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority in line with Regulation 33(1)(c) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. The Authority is in the early stages of an open tendering procedure to consolidate requirements for these services going forward; safeguarding our commitment to transparency, promote open competition and achieve best value in line with Public Procurement Regulations.
