Summary of the contracting process

Clackmannanshire Council is seeking to procure a cloud-based library management system, to transition from their existing KOHA solution by the deadline of 1st April 2021. The procurement initiative falls under the services category and is currently in the award stage, following a tender period commencing on 1st April 2021 and ending on 31st March 2024. The total budget for this contract is £16,950, and the winning supplier is expected to facilitate data migration and staff training to ensure a smooth deployment.

This procurement represents an excellent opportunity for technology firms, particularly those specialising in cloud-based software solutions and library management systems, to engage with local government. Businesses that can demonstrate capabilities in data migration, customer self-service functionality, and compliance with the Equality Act 2010 will be well-positioned to compete. The contract is set to favour suppliers who can provide ongoing support and rapid enhancement of the software, making it attractive to companies focused on innovation and customer service.
